Short answer
Computer Delivered (CD) IELTS is the same test as paper IELTS — same questions, scoring and Speaking interview — but Listening, Reading and Writing are done on a computer with a timer, on-screen navigation, flagging and typing. Radiance Education in Moulvibazar, Sylhet Division, is a British Council IELTS partner that trains for this format in its own computer lab: every IELTS Premium class is a lab simulation, IELTS Regular adds 10 computer-basics lab classes, full CD mock tests run on the real exam interface, and Cambridge practice continues from home on app.radianceedu.com with AI writing feedback.

What changes on computer (and what does not)
- Same test, same scoring — Question types, difficulty, band descriptors and the face-to-face Speaking interview are identical to paper IELTS.
- Listening with headphones — You hear the audio through individual headphones and type answers while it plays; there is no 10-minute transfer time at the end — only a short check time.
- Reading on screen — Passage on the left, questions on the right; you scroll, highlight and flag. Skimming a screen is a different skill from skimming paper.
- Writing is typed — Word count is shown live; typing speed and editing on screen decide whether you finish Task 2 in 40 minutes.
- Results faster — Computer-delivered results are typically released sooner than paper results.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is IELTS in Bangladesh paper-based or computer-delivered?
Computer-delivered. The official test partner IDP lists IELTS on Computer test locations across Bangladesh, including Sylhet and Moulvibazar, and the paper option has been withdrawn. Prepare on computer.
Is computer-delivered IELTS easier than paper?
The test content and scoring are the same. Some candidates find typing and on-screen reading easier, others find them harder; the difference is practice on the real interface, which is what Radiance's lab mocks provide.
Where can I practise computer-delivered IELTS in Bangladesh?
At Radiance Education's computer lab in Moulvibazar, Sylhet Division (full CD mock tests and lab-based classes), and from anywhere in Bangladesh on its online practice platform app.radianceedu.com.
Which Radiance course is fully computer-based?
IELTS Premium (Computer Delivered): 1.5 months, 42+ classes, 6 days a week, every class a computer-lab simulation, 5 full CD mock tests, fee ৳12,000.
I have never used a computer much. Can I still take CD IELTS?
Yes. IELTS Regular can include 10 computer-basics lab classes, and the mock tests let you practise the interface, typing and navigation until it is routine.
Do I need to type fast for IELTS Writing?
You need to write 150 and 250 words within 60 minutes in total, so comfortable typing and on-screen editing matter. Lab practice and partial Writing tests build that speed.
